4. Is there any submission fee or Article Processing Charge (APC)?

No.

At present, BHĀRATĀYANA does not charge any fee for manuscript submission, peer review, editorial processing, publication, or online access.

5. Is the journal Open Access?

Yes.

All published articles are made freely and immediately available online without subscription or registration, in accordance with the journal's Open Access Policy.

6. What type of peer review does the journal use?

BHĀRATĀYANA follows a double-anonymous peer-review process in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.

The duration of the review process depends on reviewer availability, the complexity of the manuscript, and the number of revisions required.

8. Can I submit a manuscript that is under consideration by another journal?

No.

Simultaneous submission to more than one journal is inconsistent with accepted publication ethics and is not permitted.

9. May I use Artificial Intelligence (AI) while preparing my manuscript?

Yes.

Responsible use of AI tools for language editing, formatting, translation support, coding assistance, or data organization is permitted.

Authors must disclose any substantial use of AI and remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the manuscript.

10. Can AI be listed as an author?

No.

Artificial Intelligence systems or software tools cannot satisfy the criteria for authorship and therefore cannot be listed as authors or co-authors.

11. Do I need to include an SDG Alignment Statement?

Authors are encouraged to include an SDG Alignment Statement where it is relevant and academically justified.

Its inclusion is recommended but does not, by itself, determine editorial decisions.

12. Who retains copyright after publication?

Authors retain copyright in their work while granting the journal a non-exclusive license to publish, archive, and disseminate the accepted article in accordance with the Copyright Policy.

13. How does the journal handle plagiarism?

All manuscripts may be evaluated through editorial assessment and plagiarism-detection procedures.

Yes.
