An author's financial status, institutional affiliation, nationality, or funding support has no influence on the editorial or peer-review process.

Accordingly, no Article Processing Charge (APC) is payable by authors for manuscripts accepted under the current policy.
The editorial and peer-review process is conducted independently of any financial considerations.
Acceptance or rejection of a manuscript is determined exclusively by its:
originality;
scholarly significance;
methodological quality;
ethical integrity;
contribution to Indian Knowledge Systems; and
suitability for publication in BHĀRATĀYANA.
The ability or inability of an author to pay any fee shall never influence editorial decisions.
Any fees that may be introduced in the future will be communicated clearly and transparently through the journal's official website before they become effective.
No hidden charges shall be imposed at any stage of the submission, review, or publication process.
The Editorial Board reserves the right to introduce, revise, suspend, waive, or discontinue Article Processing Charges in response to the journal's operational requirements, publishing infrastructure, funding arrangements, or long-term sustainability.
Should any change be adopted:
the revised APC Policy will be published on the journal's official website;
the effective date of the revised policy will be clearly stated;
the revised policy will apply only to manuscripts submitted on or after the effective date, unless explicitly announced otherwise;
authors will be informed of applicable charges before entering the publication process.
The journal is committed to ensuring that any future changes are implemented in a transparent, fair, and non-discriminatory manner.
If Article Processing Charges are introduced in the future, the Editorial Board may establish policies for full or partial waivers based on transparent and equitable criteria.
Any waiver policy, if adopted, will be published separately on the journal's official website.
