BHĀRATĀYANA: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Indian Knowledge Systems adheres to a rigorous editorial policy to ensure the publication of high-quality, impactful, and original research. Our editorial process is guided by academic integrity, inclusivity, and critical scholarship.
To maintain the highest academic standards, BHĀRATĀYANA follows a Double-Blind Peer Review process:
Anonymity: The identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept completely confidential throughout the review process.
Evaluation: Every submitted manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent subject experts based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity, and relevance to Indian Knowledge Systems.
Final Decision: The Editorial Board reserves the right to make the final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection based on the reviewers' recommendations.
Diamond Open Access: BHĀRATĀYANA is committed to the free and open dissemination of knowledge. All published articles are immediately available online to readers worldwide without any subscription fees or paywalls.
No Article Processing Charges (APC): We do not charge authors any fees for submission, processing, or publication of their research papers.
Digital Archiving: All published volumes and issues are permanently archived on our official website to ensure long-term accessibility.
Corrigenda/Errata: If significant errors are discovered in a published article that do not invalidate the core research, a formal correction note (Errata) will be published in the subsequent issue.
Retractions: In rare cases where serious academic misconduct, data fabrication, or extensive plagiarism is proven post-publication, the Editorial Board will issue a formal retraction statement, and the paper will be removed from the active archive.
Zero Tolerance: BHĀRATĀYANA maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism.
Screening: All submitted manuscripts undergo strict plagiarism checks before being sent to reviewers. If a manuscript contains plagiarized content (including self-plagiarism without proper citation), it will be immediately rejected.
Multilingual Support: Keeping the spirit of Indian Knowledge Systems in mind, while the primary language of the journal is English, the journal encourages and welcomes scholarly articles written in major Indian languages (such as Sanskrit, Bengali, Hindi, etc.), provided they include a comprehensive English Abstract and Keywords.
