The Editorial Board of BHĀRATĀYANA welcomes original, high-quality, and interdisciplinary research contributions that advance the study, interpretation, application, and contemporary relevance of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS). Authors are requested to carefully follow the guidelines below before submitting their manuscripts.

1. Scope of the Journal

BHĀRATĀYANA publishes original research articles, review articles, theoretical papers, case studies, book reviews, translations with critical commentary, and interdisciplinary studies related to Indian Knowledge Systems.

The title should be concise, informative, and clearly reflect the content of the manuscript.

Abstract

• 150–250 words

• Clearly state the purpose, methodology, findings, and significance of the study.

Keywords

Provide 4–8 keywords relevant to the manuscript.

  • Hindi/Sanskrit: Mangal, 12 pt

  • Bengali: Noto Serif Bengali or equivalent, 12 pt

• Line Spacing: 1.5

• Margins: 1 inch on all sides

• Page Numbering: Required

7. Citation and Referencing Style

BHĀRATĀYANA follows the latest edition of the APA Style unless otherwise specified.

Authors must ensure:

• Accurate citations.

• Complete reference information.

• Consistency throughout the manuscript.

References should appear at the end of the manuscript in alphabetical order.

8. AI-Assisted Research and Writing Policy

As an AI-Assisted Journal, BHĀRATĀYANA recognizes the responsible use of artificial intelligence tools in academic research.

Authors may use AI tools for:

• Language improvement

• Grammar correction

• Formatting assistance

• Data organization

However:

• AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

• Authors remain fully responsible for all content.

• Any substantial use of AI must be disclosed in the manuscript.

Failure to disclose significant AI assistance may result in rejection or retraction.

9. SDG Alignment Statement

Authors should include a brief SDG Alignment Statement identifying the relevant Sustainable Development Goal(s) and explaining how the research contributes to sustainable development.

Recommended length: 50–100 words.

10. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must:

• Ensure academic integrity.

• Avoid plagiarism, fabrication, and falsification.

• Disclose conflicts of interest.

• Acknowledge funding sources.

• Obtain necessary permissions for copyrighted materials.

11. Peer Review

All submissions undergo a rigorous peer-review process.

The editorial team conducts an initial screening before sending suitable manuscripts for review. Editorial decisions are based on originality, scholarly quality, methodological rigor, and relevance to the journal's scope.
